Purpose and background
The Building and Construction Sector Productivity Partnership is a partnership of industry and Government, established in 2010 to address low productivity in the industry.
The Productivity Partnership aims to build the value of New Zealand's building and construction sector and empower it to become productive, safe and profitable, so that it delivers good quality homes and provides a foundation for strong communities and a prosperous economy.
The Partnership is made up of a Governance Group, which sets its direction, and four workstreams which are working towards a deep understanding of what makes for a productive sector. The workstreams are:
Together, industry and government will remove barriers to improving productivity and use their combined strengths to address influential factors that can be realistically changed.
