Productivity Partnership Research Action Workshop No.2 – 11th September 2012

The Canterbury rebuild is an important opportunity to identify where we can make productivity improvements, particularly in the residential sector.  The Evidence Workstream's commissioned research is beginning to show important results.

We hope this research work will help inform the rebuild and we held a workshop on 11 September 2012 at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology to present our preliminary findings and project updates.  The day was a great success due to the support and enthusiasm of all involved. It was an opportunity which was effectively used by both industry members and researchers to work together to assess industry research findings (commissioned by the Evidence Workstream) and determine ways of turning these into actions.

Following the workshop, a visit to the Home Innovation Village (HIVE) was conducted that allowed people to get up-close and personal with home options that are sustainable, affordable and innovative - displayed at Canterbury Agricultural Park.

This was our second Research Action Workshop and we plan for it to become a regular event.  We welcome your feedback on future workshop topics, formats and/or locations .
