The full Auckland Pipeline Report No. 5 is now available online. This follows a preview of the key findings at the Auckland Infrastructure and Procurement Forum in July. The report provides a forward view of the planned construction workload for the Auckland region for the next five years (previous reports have taken a shorter, three-year outlook). Both planned government and private sector construction are included. The cap on government spending and transfer of funding to the Canterbury rebuild are having a noticeable impact. Public sector activity is flat while private sector activity is growing signficantly, driven by the demand for housing and associated infrastructure requirements.
