There has been a good response to the call for comments on the draft New Zealand BIM Handbook and BIM Schedule. Consultation closed on 31 May. A total of 20 submissions were received, representing a wide range of interests, from construction firms and professional bodies to government agencies. The feedback is now being reviewed by the BIM Acceleration Committee, chaired by Productivity Partnership Construction Systems Workstream Leader Andrew Reding.
“We are impressed with the depth of the feedback provided and really appreciate the time and thought people have put into the process,” says Andrew. “It reflects how highly BIM is regarded as a tool that can make a real difference to the construction industry, when used well. We are working through all of the comments and will hold publication of the Handbook to allow for this.”
